Use YNAB without overthinking it.
Let’s talk through your YNAB setup.
A short, no-obligation call to help you simplify, reduce friction, and feel confident moving forward.
If you’re here, there’s a good chance you already believe YNAB can work.
You understand the ideas. You’ve watched the videos. You may even be using it right now.
But maybe you hesitate every time money comes in.
Or you second guess where it should go.
Or you worry that one wrong decision might undo progress.
My role is to help you use YNAB in a way that fits your real life, lower the stakes on every decision, and build confidence through guided practice until assigning money feels calm instead of heavy, and managing your finances brings relief instead of pressure.
What’s actually going on
You might be stuck because using YNAB requires making decisions, and every decision seems heavier than it should.
You wonder if you’re assigning money the “right” way.
You worry that a small mistake might cause problems later.
You wonder, “What if my plan turns out to be wrong?”
So you pause, tweak, second-guess, or leave money unassigned.
YNAB isn’t making you feel the way you thought it would.
What changes when we talk it through
Most people don’t leave our first call with a brand-new system. They leave with something far more valuable.
They feel calmer.
They understand which parts of their setup actually matter, and which parts don’t.
They stop treating every decision like it’s permanent.
They trust themselves enough to move forward without overthinking.
Their plan feels flexible instead of fragile.
And money stops demanding quite so much mental and emotional energy.
That sense of relief is what makes everything else easier.
What we actually do on the call
We start with what you already have.
You can share your current YNAB setup, talk through where you’re getting stuck, and describe the decisions that feel hardest right now.
Together, we:
Walk through real scenarios you’re facing
Clarify what your categories are meant to support
Identify where complexity is helping and where it isn’t
Talk through any decisions you’ve been avoiding
There’s no preparation required, no judgement, and no expectation that everything needs to be fixed in a single call.
The goal is clarity, not perfection.
Why this is hard to do alone
YNAB is powerful because it’s flexible.
But flexibility also means there isn’t one “right” way to use it.
That can make it hard to know:
Which decisions really matter
When something is actually a problem
When you’re overthinking a normal part of the process
Confidence doesn’t come from reading more articles or watching more videos.
It comes from experience. Making decisions, adjusting, and seeing that nothing breaks.
Having someone talk it through with you shortens that learning curve and lowers the emotional cost of getting there.
About me
I work with high earners who believe in being intentional with their money but feel stuck or unsure inside YNAB. They want to get the most out of the tool and automate as much of the tedium out of budgeting as possible.
I know the software and method deeply, but my focus isn’t on features or optimization (unless that’s totally your thing!)
It’s on helping you build a system that fits your real life and feels eternally sustainable.
My role isn’t to tell you what you should do.
It’s to help you trust the decisions you’re making.
Is this a fit?
This is probably a fit if:
You’re already using or committed to using YNAB
You understand the basics but feel unsure or stuck
You want a simpler, calmer way to manage your money
You value clarity and next steps over perfection
This may not be a fit if:
You want strict rules or rigid systems
You’re looking for someone to manage your money for you
You want aggressive optimization or performance metrics
