The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin

I was inspired by the simplicity of his early life. He was a gifted reader and writer, but failed at arithmetic, which I could relate to. His parents were simple, virtuous, hard working family people. They had no estate, but provided comfortably for their many children through constant work and care.
This reminded me that a life well lived has little to do with civic, business, or other public accomplishments and a lot to do with character and devotion to God and family.
