Clarity

I took this picture in one of my very most favorite places on Earth. A small beach, nestled away from crowds most days. A beach where the weather never gets too hot and the water is crystal clear. Clarity. That's why this picture came to mind as I sat considering what I've experienced over the past week.

I would often come to this place to seek clarity when I pondered difficult questions. Many times I didn't received answers. I sometimes left feeling frustrated, confused, and a little distant from Heavenly Father.

That is how I have been feeling recently.

The storm that rages in our minds as we strive to make important decisions can overwhelm. It can confuse. It can discourage. Sometimes it can push us to the brink of giving up.

There's really only one way I can imagine describing the experience of coming to the end of such a storm. The clouds slowly lighten, the rain drizzles to a stop, and the sun's warm rays begin to penetrate the darkness, one by one. And there lies your path. An answer. Clear as a bell.

I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart. Now, behold, this is the spirit of revelation.

Doctrine and Covenants 8:2-3

It is fresh, it is cold, it is bright. It's like standing in this crystal clear water and the icy coldness of it rousing you from a stupor.

It is a miracle, and I don't understand it. But I am grateful for it. There is no doubt that God responds to our faith, for faith is a principle of action and power. Through it, we can accomplish all that is required of us. Even when it seems impossible.

Persevere. Remain faithful. Clarity will splash its refreshing waters upon you in due time.
