Since 2022, this website has been dedicated to marketing my coaching services. But to be honest, that strategy hasn’t really worked. At least not in the way I expected. Nearly every coaching client I’ve worked with has found me through the YNAB coaching directory and booked their session directly through this landing page.
The good news? That landing page is doing its job.
The bad news? The rest of the site has felt like a waste of time.
I miss having a personal website that feels like mine. A place to document and share my hobbies, interests, and projects. Using this site purely as a marketing tool hasn’t generated meaningful traffic, and I’ve realized I don’t actually enjoy the hamster wheel of SEO. In a world saturated with AI-generated content, I’m not convinced that strategy is worth chasing for someone like me.
So I’m pivoting. Starting today, tylersmith.io is no longer just a coaching site. It’s becoming my digital home. A personal website that reflects more of me.
Coaching will remain part of this space. It’s one of my longest running and most meaningful side projects, and I’ll continue to offer it professionally here. But it’s no longer the central focus.
This site will be a place where I show up as a full person, with multiple passions. Alongside coaching, I’ll be sharing writing, photography, reactions, experiments, and whatever else I’m working on.
Thanks for being here. Let’s see where this goes.
