For years I've had this project on the back burner. The plan was to gather up all the posts I ever made from all the blogs I ever wrote and put them in a single place. My personal website. In 2025.
I made good progress last year while I was on vacation in Colorado. Hey! Don't judge me for how I spend my vacation!
But I hit a major road block. The last 50 posts or so were a mess. They'd been copied and pasted between so many CMS platforms that the html/text was shredded.
Enter AI.
I don't know the first thing about coding, but I asked ChatGPT to help me learn how to install Python and write a script to parse and clean up the html files.
And the 20 or so files after that, I just copied and pasted the mess into ChatGPT or even took a screen shot of the preview render and had it extract the text.
As of today, July 17, 2025, my blog is united. Everything I ever posted on the internet (with the exception of those ugly social media platforms, of course) is now on this website.
I am a flighty fellow when it comes to web platforms, so I'm not saying I'll never move. But for now, I need to stop worrying about the past and focus on the present.
